This is an excellent little restaurant on 82nd Street in Edmonton. Do not let the uninspiring exterior facade deter you from experiencing the culinary excellence and friendly staff that lie within. The food, Chicken Kadai on this visit, is full of flavour, with delicious herbs and spices to provide amazing flavours with the rare ability to provide accurate varying levels of ‘heat’. I have worked my way up to four out of five and it has deep intense but well balanced heat that enhances rather than mutes the superb flavours and textures. There is a good variety of dishes from various regions and styles on the menu. There is a good selection of beers in the fridge (I don’t drink so the water works well for me) and my wife tells me that their chai is also excellent. The naan bread is simply perfect. Being intolerant to butter I have mine plain which means that there is nothing to hide the excellence of the bread. Simultaneously hot, crisp and fluffy. This is my “go to” restaurant in Edmonton and you are doing yourself a dis-service, if you like Indian food, and do not make the well rewarded effort to eat here.

This place is my favourite restaurant for Indian food. I’m a huge fan—everything is perfect! The customer service, portion sizes, and freshness are all excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. My favourites are the lamb curry with saffron rice and garlic naan. My partner’s go-to is the chicken biryani.

Both me and my husband were feeling a little under the weather with the cold outside so decided to get the chicken soup here, just wanted to say it was the best one i’ve ever had! 1 portion is so filling and enough for 2, the taste was the most exquisite which makes you want more, great for a cold especially with the garlic taste We also got the fish pakora which was actually amazing, the green chutney was a lil watery but i dipped the pakora in dahi & chutney and it tasted so delicious Had a aloo parantha too and personally i think it was a bit dry but also i love eating my food with dahi so i dipped it in that and it was so good, made my dinner and night definitely a great place for food with such amazing prices & customer service is 10/10

Awesome! I was lucky enough to be referred here by a friend & tried a new Indian dish which was super tasty! I also really enjoyed the pudding . Super friendly staff and nice owner! I love how he took the time to share his passion towards making people's day with his food. I cant wait to be back for some more. Thanks

First time in this restaurant and really love the vibes of this place. The food we ordered was so tasty, staff were so friendly and service was outstanding, highly recommended restaurant in the Edmonton. Will love to visit again.

We have ordered from New Everest through Uber Eats around ten times already, and food is always consistently delicious. Our regular favourites are the butter chicken, chicken vegetable pakoras, and the tandoori chicken. They have the best butter chicken in the city, and we tried several restaurants before finding New Everest! 100% recommend this restaurant!

Food was great. We ordered from DoorDash and saw this place with good reviews. Hence ordered the Kadai chicken and chicken fried rice. Both were good with quantity and taste compared to the price charged . I would definitely order more from this place and visit soon. Much recommended

Highly recommended if you like East Indian cuisine (or are a foodie in general). The restaurant was very clean, had a modern feel and the owner was very helpful. I ordered a Rogan Lamb combo and they gave me a huge portion with both rice and naan, was totally worth it *Food* - Rogan Josh Lamb: Nice complex curry flavor with strong taste of cumin. The lamb was a little dry for me and I personally would have loved more “gamey” lamb flavor in the dish. Perfect amount of heat from green chilies that activated the palate but didn’t overpower the dish. Rice was fluffy, naan looked great and had a lovely pillowy texture. - Mango Lassi: Best mango lassi I have had in recent memories, including those I tried in tropical countries.
